On this weeks edition of AEW Dynamite on TNT Chris Jericho about to give an interview when he is attacked by MJF and, his group Pinnacle. The group then proceeds to rough up Chris Jericho with no members of the Inner Circle coming to Chris Jericho’s aid. The reason we are led to believe is because they were locked in their locker room by MJF and Pinnacle. We then get the camera shot of the Inner Circle trying to break down their locker room door to get out to rescue their leader Chris Jericho.
As the Inner Circle try to get out of their locker room Chris Jericho contributes to get roughed up in the ring. In walks Iron Mike Tyson seemly to join in on the beating of Chris Jericho but he removes his shirt and, starts attacking the Inner Circle and, rescuing Chris Jericho. The Inner Circle finally get free of their locker room and, come join in rescuing their leader.
My first question was why would Chris Jericho be out there on his own without other members of his group Inner Circle when he knows he is in a feud with MJF and the Pinnacle group. My second question is about Mike Tyson this whole coming to the rescue of Chris Jericho is great and, it sets up for them being on the same side before one of them turns on the other in the future. But was this set up for a big main event at the end of the show or a future pay per view no this was the set up for Mike Tyson to be ring side next week as an enforcer during a match.
This weeks main event was already a huge trios match between Moxley, The Young Bucks against Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers their could have been build up to the main event instead Mike Tyson in my opinion was wasted here. I’m sure Tony Khan is paying celebrities such as Shaq and Mike Tyson a pretty penny for their appearances, without a regular audience its tough to build the excitement but throwing a celebrity out there early in the show so people keep watching seems a waste.
Also one last point why are their so many factions in AEW yes i understand the Inner Circle and Pinnacle as well as the Dark Order but with so many other factions it gets confusing as well as hiding the talents of individual wrestlers.
